When Queen Teresia of Ghealdan was defeated in battle by Masema's forces, Beron was dragged from his bed by a score of Alliandre's retainers, hauled to the Jheda Palace, and forced to marry Teresia early in the morning. By marrying a commoner, Teresia was rendered ineligible for the throne of Ghealdan, allowing Alliandre to be crowned that same morning. Beron and Teresia currently live at his country estate.
