He is part of the crowd that confronts Moiraine Damodred, demanding she leaves Emond's Field at once, even though she Healed him after being stabbed by a Trolloc in the Trolloc raid.
He has too many buckets and barrels to make to hold water for all the Two Rivers residents crowded into Emond's Field. Perrin is able to find him the assistants he needs.
He helps defend Emond's Field against the invading Trollocs.
