Along with High Lords Tedosian, Sunamon and Meilan, he attended a meeting with Rand al'Thor to discuss new policies that Rand was implementing after the Stone of Tear fell. Rand noticed he and Tedosian were avoiding looking at eachother. He was numbered among those Lords disloyal to Rand. Thomdril Merrilin forged and placed a letter where the High Lord Tedosian found it, linking Carleon to Tedosian's wife, Alteima. He was killed by Tedosian in a "hunting accident."
