Bili Congar

Bili Congar is a farmer from Emond's Field in the Two Rivers.

Activities

He is a grumpy, troublesome man who drinks a lot and looks for the worst in everyone. His family, along with the related Coplins, are known amongst the villagers of the Two Rivers for being sour malcontents who are always involved in trouble and are quick to complain.

After the first Trolloc attack on Emond's Field, he, along with his cousins Hari Coplin and Darl Coplin, confronted Moiraine Damodred at the front of a crowd, demanding she leave at once. Bili withdrew into the crowd when Bran al'Vere confronted the crowd with Haral Luhhan. After Moiraine told the crowd about the history of Manetheren, the crowd dispersed, with Bili disappearing even quicker than his cousins.

He shot at a group of Tuatha'an, somehow mistaking them for Trollocs.

He helped defend Emond's Field against the invading Trollocs.

Beliefs

Mat Cauthon told Rand and Perrin that Bili claimed Aes Sedai, Darkfriends, and the Dark One don't exist. Bili even named the Dark One. However, it is likely that Bili does now believe in such things. Despite reaffirming that he still did not believe in the Dark One, Bili refused to name the Dark One after his fields - and only his fields - became infested with cutworms and his household contracted yelloweye fever. Moreover, Bili participated in the defense of Emond's Field against Shadowspawn, during which Verin Mathwin and Alanna Mosvani channelled quite visibly.
