Davies is stationed with Jarid Sarand's army and acts as confidant to Jarid. They are on the road to Whitebridge when they are hit by a bubble of evil that turns all metal soft. Troubled by Jarid's increasing fervor to try and kill Elayne Trakand, Davies and the rest of the men abandon Jarid and march for the Last Battle.
