Farede was the sponsor of a new calendar introduced by Uren din Jubai Soaring Gull in light of the chaos of the War of the Hundred Years. He is especially known for wanting to make Tanchico the intellectual capital of the world.
The new calendar was adopted by academics across the Westlands, and became known as the Farede Calendar in honor of the Panarch.
