Leya rode into the Dragon's camp and was escorted inside by Perrin Aybara and some Shienarans soldiers. While she reported to Moiraine about conditions on Almoth Plain, Min Farshaw had a viewing about Leya's death. Leya was injured during Rand al'Thor's loss of control over the One Power and later died during the Trolloc attack.
