She led her armsmen herself, rather than using a Master of the Horse, though she did not actually go into battle. She had a helmet and breastplate and a flanged mace which she could use.

Rosana likely became a High Lady sometime in 999 or early 1000 NE as Tear only recently suffered casualties among the High Lords and Ladies.
She goes with Rand al'Thor when Rand tries to deal with the Illian rebels loyal to Lord Brend. She warns Rand against meeting with the rebels as it "only takes one arrow to kill the Dragon Reborn" amd is shocked to see Demetre Marcolin, an Illianer, agrees with her.
She is not intimidated by Asha'man. Rosana told Eben Hopwil that he needed fattening, ordered Jonan Adley to stop slouching and asked whether Aes Sedai had approved their grim coats. She listened to the story of Dumai’s Wells as if examining a possibly counterfeit coin.
Rand sends a force led by her to raise havoc on any bandits or Shaido present around Illian. She appears thoughtful on how Rand decided who to send away and who to keep close. She remained in Illian to keep the peace.
