Pecara are a creature endemic to the Aiel Waste. The appear similar to a thin, angular boar, but have short coarse hair, pointed snouts, sharp teeth, claws, and no tusks.
Pecara are a creature endemic to the Aiel Waste. The appear similar to a thin, angular boar, but have short coarse hair, pointed snouts, sharp teeth, claws, and no tusks. They generally weight between one hundred and two hundred pounds and are immunes to most of the Waste's poisons and venoms. They and travel in groups.
Egwene observed Amys hunting a "boar" in the Aiel Waste in Tel'aran'rhiod. While it seemed to be solitary like a bladetusk, its description most closely matches pecara. Egwene noted its "coarse hair" and that it may not be a boar because it "did not seem to be shaped exactly right." Moreover, she observed a "sharp" snout "full of keen teeth," and four toes per foot.
