History Vecna was a powerful wizard, who, despite his great power, couldn't escape his own mortality. He made a deal with Orcus to become the first lich and forged a terrible empire.

Vecna was a powerful wizard, who, despite his great power, couldn't escape his own mortality. He made a deal with Orcus to become the first lich and forged a terrible empire. His traitorous lieutenant Kas did Vecna in, however.
Later, Vecna became the Darklord of Cavitius.
