History

Xenobia was the daughter of a nomadic tribe dwelling in the Ardenides, a range of snow-covered hills. Her people were proud and hardy, but sexist, and she had to prove herself again and again to be accepted as a woman warrior. While a teenager, she undertook the tribe's rite of passage and killed the White Bear that was their totem, the first female to do so. But it wasn't until she alone slew the white dragon that had preyed on the hill tribes that they fully respected her. Her prowess grew in the years since.

Taking to adventuring, Xenobia joined a band of adventurers—Darius, Erland, Luthor, Red Cloud, Shinesta, Torgo, and Ignatius Max—who battled the dragon Blackheart before traveling to Waterdeep. However, en route, all eight of them were caught by the mists and taken to Ravenloft. Count Strahd von Zarovich appeared to them and bade them destroy the monsters and killers sent by Lord Loren Soth to kill Strahd, on the promise of sending them back.
