Background

Vax'ildan Frederick was born to Percival and Vex'ahlia de Rolo, the Lord and Lady of Whitestone, as the fourth child of the couple, being the second boy after Wolfe.

After the apogee solstice of 843 PD Vax'ildan's parents became allies of the Exandrian Accord and were preparing to aid them in their conflict against the Ruby Vanguard. One morning, while he was preparing to leave with some friends "up the road", he was told to wait at the Sun Tree by Gwen and Vesper, where Wolfe and Leona arrived too, as their parents had requested. He seemed uninterested at first, teasing Vesper about being nice to them if she was going to be in charge, and acting annoyed when Vex'ahlia kissed him, although he immediately paid attention when it was explained explained that their parents' mission was to rescue their uncle. They showed strength at first, but when Vox Machina prepared to go through the portal that Keyleth had opened, the de Rolo siblings allowed themselves to openly show concern, and even shed a few tears; just before leaving Grog Strongjaw gave Vax'ildan some dry shit from his Bag of Holding, leaving him very confused.
