Marii Seriblo

Appearance

Marii was described as a tiefling baby of round face, with petal-soft pink skin, a dusting of black hair and two little nubs of horns on her forehead.

Personality

Marii was calm in her mother's arms, and according to her, if she put her down the baby would cry.

Biography

Marii was born between 829 and 831 PD as the daughter of Panvel Seriblo, a silversmith in the Court of Colors in Rexxentrum, and his second wife, Aldreda Tavelle, a tiefling performer of the Greying Wildlands who had worked as the family housekeeper and took care of Panvel's son, Kyvir (Marii's older half-brother) until the boy's mother died of fever in winter of 829 PD. Aldreda became indispensable in the house, eventually becoming Panvel's second wife and the mother of his second child, despite her youth.

In 831 PD Lucien, Aldreda's older brother, found out where his sister was living, amd visited her with enough money to start a new life. Aldreda received him while cradling the sleeping Marii. Both tieflings talked without waking up the baby, and Lucien even had the chance of touching his niece's forehead with his thumb, but Aldreda, mistrusting her brother after so many years, turned down his offer of a new life, unwilling to risk the life she had made in the city, and the safety of Marii.
