Crute had tousled white-gray hair and a single tuft of beard that dangles down down toward the bellybutton before it hit a ring of gold.

Crute was ornery and salty-looking, and, in conversation, tended to look above or at person's shoulder due to his poor sight.

Crute recognized the Mighty Nein when they returned to Alfield and met with Bryce at the Feed & Mead. He wasn't pleased when Jester used Thaumaturgy to open all the windows of the inn, and shattered one of the windows.
