However, their story has been altered and popularized in plays and retellings, and by 831 PD, there were plays with Taeleron as an antagonist represented in both the Greying Wildlands and the Dwendalian Empire; in those stories Taeleron the Cleaver was a knight that attacked and surrounded Daldred's kingdom, offering to spare it only if Queen Andica was killed; the peasants believed that their vain queen would never choose them over herself, but she, in a noble sacrifice, took her own life as Taeleron had demanded; the tragedy ended with Daldred lamenting his loss.
