Bautha is a drow woman who wears a cloak with a black pin in the shape of a wing. As a priest, she presumably generally wears this over a chain shirt.

Personality

Bautha is dedicated and selfless, devoting much of her time and magic to healing the wounds of those in need. She is cultured and careful, especially with matters related to the Betrayer Gods. She also shows a pragmatic attitude towards the Kryn Dynasty's quest to fully reclaim Bazzoxan, seeing it as a source of unworthy suffering.

Biography

Despite living in the Kryn Dynasty, which is generally devoted to the Luxon, Bautha became a priest of Xalicas, a solar who served the Arch Heart. Bautha can recall legends spoken in the temples of the far-away cities of Ank'Harel and Vasselheim, including that of the story of Alyxian. By 835 or 836 PD she became a healer in the infirmary at Bazzoxan, and while she, as a follower of Xalicas, disapproves of the government's obsession with controlling the city and the amount of military presence they dedicate to it, she supports the effort to hold back the demonic forces, and uses each spell slot she has to heal whoever may need it.

Character information

Several of Bautha's possessions and abilities are presumed to be consistent with her using the priest statblock (found in the Monster Manual, p. 348) and being a drow (as described in the 2014 Player's Handbook, p. 24). The others have specific references.
