The Lightbroker is a cautious and pragmatic individual, who is very careful with the approach taken for each situation, and confident enough to question strategies presented by a superior.
Biography
The Lightbroker was born many centuries ago and was consecuted as a follower of the Luxon. They died and were reborn several times, learning more in each lifetime, including knowledge about dunamancy, to the point when they were considered an Umavi, a perfect soul. At some point before 855 PD they obtained the title "Lightbroker".
After Quana Kryn was kidnapped by Lolth and brought to the Abyss, Leylas Kryn decided to follow Dryca's plan to rescue her. Because Dryca's plan could involve sending one person to the Abyss, Leylas gathered five powerful Umavi; led by the Lightbroker, the Umavis cast a powerful version of the Manifest Echo spell to create another Bright Queen to send on the mission. The echo successfully rescued Quana and was destroyed by Lolth.
Some time later, during the Bright Queen's crusade to expand the reach of the Luxon across the continent, the Lightbroker was among those who accompanied her. Leylas went as far as trying to negotiate with the council of Xarzith Kitril, even though the Lightbroker remarked that the dragonborn settlement probably didn't have any intention of accepting a new religion. The Lightbroker was right, and when Leylas, haunted by the memory of the Spider Queen's voice, beheaded a councilor who was shouting at her, the Lightbroker intervened to avoid further confrontation and forced Leylas to leave immediately.
Leylas Kryn
The Lightbroker is loyal to their ruler and follows her lead. However, they're not afraid of expressing a different opinion or questioning her decisions; their relationship seems to be formal, with the Bright Queen exclusively referring to the Lightbroker by their title, but in moments of tension, the latter has been shown to call Leylas by her first name.
