Saqiri was a cautious but fair woman, willing to reward those who earned it, even if others disagreed.

Biography

Saqiri lived during the Calamity in Xhorhas, before the foundation of the Kryn Dynasty. She and other hunters allowed a local teenager, Alyxian, to join their hunting party a night with a full shining Ruidus in the sky, as they were trying to gather food for the winter; however, a terrible accident happened: two owlbears mauled Saqiri, and Alyxian, alarmed, ran away, causing the other hunters to blame him. The drow captain died shortly after because of her wounds.

Saqiri's death deeply affected Alyxian, who was convinced that if he had not insisted on going hunting with them that night, the misfortune would have been avoided. Centuries later, when the demigod was trapped in the Netherdeep, this event still tortured him, and one way to alleviate the supernatural manifestation of his regret was to immerse in the memory of the hunt and save Saqiri; in that scenario, that version of the drow hunter would allow the young Alyxian to take one of the carcasses they hunted back to his mother, although she would also tell him that even if the teenager wasn't actually cursed, the fact that people believed it was enough.
