The Siren aggressively beat up a competitor in the Crucible, spitting on his body before wiping the blood from her face and climbing out of the pit. In awe of her combat prowess and brutality, Grog was curious to find and fight her, so he asked a barkeep about it. He told him Siren only shows up to the Crucible when she wants to fight. Also, Grog might ask the Slayer's Take about Siren because she sometimes works with them. Vox Machina later hunted down the hydra with help from the guild members, who confirmed that Siren indeed had done work with them.

Searching down the rakshasa, part of the Vox Machina came to the Velvet Cabaret, where Siren was working as a bouncer with her dragonborn co-bouncer.
