Fafnir Hellhand

Fafnir Hellhand, often known as Redbeard, is a prominent character within the Conan the Barbarian universe.

History

Hailing from the northern realm of Vanaheim, Fafnir's life is marked by adventures and challenges. In his youth, he was associated with a group led by Rane, the Reaver, a fellow warrior from the North. Fafnir's path took a thieving turn when he worked as a thief in Shadizar, Zamora. He was partnered with another thief named Blackrat, but their criminal escapades took a violent turn when Blackrat betrayed and injured him during a heist. The two thieves were then confronted by a young Conan, setting the stage for further events. Subsequently, Fafnir's life evolved as he became the captain of a pirate crew operating on the Inland Sea. His crew consisted of a diverse group, including Zingaran corsairs, nomads from Zamboula, naval deserters, and even a former Aquilonian Army member. One of their notable encounters involved an attack on a Turanian galley, which led to interactions with Conan.
