Hakon is a very important character in the novella Wolves Beyond the Border. He is a forest ranger of Fort Kwanyara, and helped his friend Gault (a thandario scout) chase down the treacherous Valerian.

They foiled his plan to let Picts conquer the fort so that they did not come to Tarantia to fight for Numedides and against Conan.
