Meteoric ironis a rare and significant material. One of the most notable instances is the swordAnglachel, which was forged from meteoric iron. This sword was created by thedark elfEöland later became known asGurthangwhen it was reforged and wielded byTúrinTurambar. Another notable weapon made from meteoric iron isAnguirel,the twin sword to Anglachel, also forged by Eöl. However, Anguirel's fate is less detailed in the stories compared to Gurthang.
