Eastern Heartlands

Home to the Basilisk Gate, Eastway is the city's primary gateway to the Outer City and the world beyond, catering to travelers with its profusion of inns, porters, and caravan supplies, as well as to Outer City residents looking for reasonably priced Lower City luxuries. The flow of travelers and strangers through this neighborhood makes it one of the most dangerous parts of the city.

The mountains were known far and wide as a range of barren peaks that were infested with monstrous creatures.

The name likely derived from the days, circa −700 DR , when elves ruled the forested western shore, orcs were teeming to the east, and dragons laired about the Moonsea and held sway over the northern part of the Reach.

The Dalelands , also referred to as the Dales , was a region in north Faerûn of dense forests and bountiful, rolling farmlands. It comprised a loosely-organized group of countries called dales that were as diverse as they were independent.

Cormyr ( pronounced : / k ɔːr ˈ m ɪər / core-MEER ), also known as the Forest Country and the Land of the Purple Dragon was an independent nation in interior Faerûn . It was historically one of the most prosperous countries of Faerûn . [ citation needed ]
