The Seen was a term referring to all normal living creatures and material objects as opposed to appearing in the Unseen or wraith-world. All things in Eä either counted as a part of the Seen world or the Unseen world.

All things in Eä either counted as a part of the Seen world or the Unseen world. Some beings could exist in both, such as the Ainur and the Calaquendi, the Elves who dwelt in Valinor.
All descriptions of things were part of the Seen unless mentioned as part of the Unseen.
