Jennison was once a large port town, however when the Xocnalic refused to work with the Solamnics, many folk abandoned it for the larger settlements where trade was possible, and it fell into disrepair.
During the Age of Despair, when Valkinord was destroyed by the Red Dragonarmy, many refugees fled to Jennison. This saw a boost to the village's population and Jennison went through a period of regrowth.
