Southern Wastes
The Southern Wastes (also known as the Horselands of Nordmaar) are the prairies and grassy plains that fill the south-western part of the nation of Nordmaar.
The Southern Wastes (also known as the Horselands of Nordmaar) are the prairies and grassy plains that fill the south-western part of the nation of Nordmaar. The realm is inhabited chiefly by the Horselords who are nomadic Humans that roam throughout the plains from season to season, only truly settling in the city of Wulfgar for any period of time. The realm is the dominion of the Khan of the Southern Wastes, chief of the Huitzitlic tribe.
The realm is bordered by Teyr to the south, the Great Moors in the southeast, the Sahket Jungle in the east, the Astivar Mountains to the west, and the Turbidus Ocean to the northwest. Mammals and birds are in large numbers throughout the Horselands, and also in the realm are ankhegs, chimera, Gnolls and displacer beasts.
