Code Helm

Overview

Code Helm was a military company dedicated to freeing those enslaved by the illithids of Glyth in Realmspace.

Activities

The members of Code Helm conducted raids against the mind flayer "skull farms" located on Glyth's surface as well as those situated in the rings that encircled the planet in the hope of freeing their inmates. They would also capture illithid vessels, which they would loot to finance their operations. All in all, Code Helm was believed to have rescued well over a 1,000 humanoids of various species from the clutches of the mind flayers, and from a horrifying death.

Base of Operations

Code Helm maintained a hidden outpost somewhere in the third ring around the planet Glyth in Realmspace.

Members

When Code Helm was founded, it was originally led by priests of the deity Helm, and had a membership of well over 500 priests and paladins. Due to attrition, however, the company's numbers had dropped to just over 320 members, and was predominantly made up of paladins dedicated to various deities. This meant that, although the company had previously been dominated by Helm's church, the leadership was open to anyone. The current commander was a paladin dedicated to the deity Torm the True by the name of Easel of Amn.

In recognition of their service, the deity Helm granted all his priests who had joined Code Helm, as well as all paladins no matter their affiliation, access to a unique spell known as mental prowess.
