Overview

The Emerald Brotherhood was an adventuring company dedicated to fighting slavers throughout Realmspace, especially the neogi.

Activities

The Company could be found patrolling wildspace between Anadia and Toril in their vipership, though they were willing to travel to other spheres if the price was right.

Base of Operations

The Brotherhood maintained a hidden asteroid base somewhere in the Tears of Selûne, where Gehrm, and his wife Kalia, were busy building a temple dedicated to their god, Tyr.

Ships

The Brotherhood patrolled Realmspace in their vipership, Tyr's Strike.

Members

The Company was led by Gehrm, who also served as captain of the Strike. The rest of the crew included his wife, Kalia, who served as the primary helmsman, as well as Dairn, his half-brother Zadfraq, and their companion Thya.

History

The Emerald Brotherhood were originally an adventuring company based on the planet Toril in Realmspace. They first came together to protect the forest of Thornwood and its druids from an invading tribe of gnolls. They went on to achieve some fame as lycanthrope-hunters in the lands east and south of Amn and Tethyr.

They were later hired by a local king in the Vilhon Reach area to hunt down and kill three evil dragons that were thought to be lurking along the Deepwash. However, while they were exploring the Snowflake Mountains, they were captured by illithid slavers and taken into wildspace on their ship, the Mind Ripper.

Having been sold to the neogi, the Company eventually escaped their cruel captors, and would go on to destroy a major neogi slavery operation. They subsequently purchased their iconic vipership, Tyr's Strike, from an arcane merchant who had also been held captive by the neogi and had been freed by the Company.

The Emerald Brotherhood set their sights on destroying both the mind flayers and the neogi, and after a mere fourteen months, slavers throughout Realmspace had learned to fear them - especially the neogi. The neogi responded by placing a bounty of 50,000 gold pieces on their heads.
