Helmet of liaison

Description

The helmet of liaison is designed to allow a user to interface directly with an antennae of triangulation or a spelljammer detector. On its own, a helmet of liaison is practically useless.

Powers

When a helmet of liaison is put on, the wearer immediately gains a 360° mental picture of the space around the magical item it is linked to. The relative positions of all objects within the area change as and when the item changes heading, or if the objects themselves move. Using a helmet is as strenuous as powering a helm and requires full rest to recover from the resulting fatigue.

History

The antennae of triangulation, and the accompanying helmet of liaison, were originally designed for use on the Tsunami, the capital ships of the human nation of Wa from the planet of Toril in Realmspace. The antennae are mounted on the head of the giant centipede-like vessel, while the helmet is worn by the officer in command, usually the admiral.
