Seed-Beholder Company

Overview

The Seed-Beholder Company was established 100 years ago to provide "child care" services for the various beholder nations of H'Catha in Realmspace. Too busy with their interminable wars to care for their young, the beholder nations long ago decided to subcontract the task to a neutral third party.

Activities

The Company was hired to provide the necessary care and nurturing for juvenile beholders for at least a month, possibly several weeks, until they were ready to take care of themselves, at which point they were returned to H'Catha, where they rejoined their respective nations. In return, the Company received a hefty fee from most of the various beholder nations on the planet.

Base of Operations

The Company was based on a 200-foot (61 meter) long artificial structure in orbit above H'Catha near Turnbetl. The stationary vessel resembled a reclining fomorian, with open decks located on its throat and belly, and several battered and broken masts with tattered and ripped sails spread along its length.

Members

The Company currently has about 30 members, though it does have a great deal of turnover as members retire, only to be replaced by eager new investors. The constant influx of new blood, followed by new ideas, has kept the company vitalised and eager for new business, as it maintains its close ties with the various beholder nations on H'Catha. The Company's current leader is a lizard man by the name of Retyan, who became the major stakeholder when the previous incumbent died. Since Retyan took over, the Company has maintained a steady cash flow and has proven to be quite profitable for its various investors.
