Although he prefers to defuse or avoid conflicts if possible, he is a fierce opponent when he or his his followers are threatened, especially if they are threatened within their homes. He only intercedes directly when gnomes who live within the earth are threatened or to mediate when interactions between rock gnomes, deep gnomes and other races who live in the Underdark result in conflict.

Realm
World Tree cosmology
In the World Tree cosmology of Realmspace, Segojan Earthcaller resides within his realm, known as the Gemstone Burrow, which is located on the outer planar realm known as Golden Hills, which he shares with the rest of the Gnomish pantheon, including Garl Glittergold, Baravar Cloakshadow, Callarduran Smoothhands, Baervan Wildwanderer, Gaerdal Ironhand and Flandal Steelskin. Golden Hills consists of seven rolling hills, one for each of the gnome deities that reside there. Everything is lightly tinted or highlighted with gold, and its burnished sheen glows in the light of the setting sun. The Gemstone Burrow lies beneath the earthen hill, and consists of an endless mess of earthen tunnels which are inhabited by numerous burrowing animals as well as gnomish petitioners who have dug out fine comfortable burrows of their own.
Great Wheel cosmology
In the Great Wheel cosmology, Segojan Earthcaller resides within his realm, known as the Gemstone Burrow, which forms part of the shared divine realm known as the Golden Hills, which is located on Dothion, the first of the Twin Paradises of Bytopia. The Golden Hills is a large region in the centre of Dothion dominated by seven rolling hills, one for each of the gnome deities who reside here. Each is a realm unto itself, brought together into one large, unified realm under the guidance of Garl Glittergold. Garl maintains his own hill but prefers to wander all over the realm, usually in disguise. Everything in the Golden Hills is lightly tinted with gold, producing a burnished sheen that glows in the light of the setting sun. Among the hills is a gnomish paradise of small communities, quiet industry and farms. The Gemstone Burrow is an endless bundle of crudely dug tunnels inhabited by numerous burrowing animals. Segojan is known to care deeply for the creatures of the earth and is often visited by emissaries from the animal lords of the Beastlands.
Worship
Priests of Segojan are quite prominent in rock gnome communities and work closely with the clergy of the other gnomish deities. In conjunction with the priests of Baervan Wildwanderer they work to preserve and protect the natural world, particularly the diverse ecology found beneath the surface. In conjunction with the priests of Flandal Steelskin they supervise mining operations and oversee the safety of gnomish miners. In conjunction with the priests of Callarduran Smoothhands, Segojan's faithfull work to forge close ties between gnome communities who live on or just below the surface and the deep gnomes of the Underdark. Segajan's priests go further than others in actively seeking to watch over boundaries between the various Underdark races whose territories and tunnels lie deeper underground than gnomes usually explore. Rock gnome priests, who form the core of Segojan's clergy, often serve as emissaries between surface communities and their deep kinfolk, seeking to establish and maintain trade routes between the two communities. In accordance with Segojan's supervision of the dead, his priests preside over most funerary rituals and inter their mortal remains within his earthy domain.
