Cold Lands

The Samek Valley was an isolated valley in northern Damara, close to the border of the Great Glacier.

The nation of Sossal ( pronounced : /ˈ s ɔː s ɑː l / SAW-sall ) was located in the Cold Lands of northeast Faerûn .

The Great Imphras River flowed south from Lake Mogador in central Damara, joined with its first major tributary, the Sidewinder River , before leaving Damara, and then in Impiltur it merged with the River Icehilt and its second major tributary, the River Lench , before emptying into Traders Bay and the Easting Reach beyond.

Vaasa ( pronounced : /ˈ v ɑː s ɑː / VAH-sah ) was an isolated and untamed land located in the Cold Lands of northeast Faerûn . It was the seat of power for the famed Zhengyi the Witch-King in the mid 14 th century DR , and it was ruled by the Warlock Knights of Vaasa as of the late 15 th century DR.

Narfell , also referred to as old Narfell or the Empire of Narfell , was a once-great, albeit brief-lasting human empire that arose thousands of years before the Era of Upheaval in the Cold Lands . Its fiend -worshiping citizens were all-but annihilated in a terrific war with their neighboring nation of Raumathar , leaving its survivors to eke out a new existence that was more in harmony with the natural world of Faerûn . These strong-willed survivors lived hard lives, free from the memory of their power-hungry ancestors for some time, but still occasionally imperiled by the lingering effects of their wicked pacts with the Lower Planes .
