History

Built sometime in the 13th century, presumably by Karl Grimm during his construction of the town, the inn became the property of Mama Ela, who was assisted by her granddaughter Red. It became extremely famous across the North and was always extremely populous. When the Hogge sisters gained control of the town, they constantly made offers to Mama Ela, though she never had any interest in selling.

Fall to the doppler

Eventually, Mama Ela died, or was killed, and then replaced by a doppler who took her form. The creature's intention lay with stealing change from the inn and then leaving, facilitated by changing all cutlery and plates to wood, as like other dopplers it avoided silver. This plan was revealed several weeks later, however, when the witcher Geralt of Rivia discovered and killed the doppler. The inn then presumably passed to Red.
