Under Harald's rule, Kaer Carreg was functional, housing a kitchen, a great hall and a small armoury. Living quarters were sparse: a small study/library attached to his quarters (shared with his wife Gisla), whilst his children Astrid, Sven and Ragnar had rooms of their own.
