Upon their arrival to the region, Geralt of Rivia and Vesemir first encountered the griffin terrorizing White Orchard here in May 1272. As they approached, the griffin was devouring a horse that belonged to Bram, whose cart had been attacked a short time prior but thankfully the witchers successfully drove the monster off before it found Bram.
Bram then thanked the witchers for their help. However, unable to fix his broken cart, he abandoned it and took what he could carry to White Orchard village.
Map description
Before the war, merchants and travelers would cross the river here. Now only Nilfgaardian soldiers traverse this path.
