Mealybug Moors

In 1264 Geralt intended to cross one of the Moors to shorten his way to Brugge to the west. There he met Yurga, the merchant, and was hired by him to protect his cart from nekkers.

In 1264 Geralt intended to cross one of the Moors to shorten his way to Brugge to the west. There he met Yurga, the merchant, and was hired by him to protect his cart from nekkers. Badly wounded, he was taken care of by Yurga and safely brought to Sodden.

Three years later, traversing the O in Turlough Hills, members of Zoltan's and Geralt's companies discussed whether to go through Fen Carn or follow the O to the Chotla. Geralt decisively declined the second option as it would mean traversing one of the Moors and recalled the time spent there before as a nightmare.

Notes

  • In the original (Polish) edition of the Saga, the Moors are called Miechunowe Uroczyska, sharing the first name with another nearby region: Miechuńskie Lasy. The similarity has been lost in the translation, as Miechunowe Uroczyska have been translated as Mealybug Moors while Miechuńskie Lasy as Groundcherry Forests.
