History
Sometime in the 1190s, a battle took place in Rinde between Redania and Temeria.
Under the reign of King Heribert and the mandate of Mayor Neville, the city had an important temple of Kreve run by Krepp as well as an apothecary shop run by Laurelnose, both members of the city council. In addition, the city was significant enough to have a Novigradian embassy, at the time led by Beau Berrant, who was also a trade broker. One of the city's taverns belonged to the elf, later a member of the Scoia'tael, Chireadan, as well as his cousin Errdil; however, when Yennefer attempted to capture a djinn by luring it to the inn, the inn was destroyed in the ensuing fight. The city also had an abbey of Melitele, whose abbess was Lucienne von Eyegrid under Vizimir II.
The city gates closed after twilight, making any visitors wait until the next day to enter, with the exception of nobles.
