Hellgate Keep , originally founded as Ascalhorn , was an ancient elven city on the northeast edge of the High Forest that was overtaken by demonic forces and eventually destroyed in 1369 DR . In the years following its destruction, the site of this Keep's ruins came to be known as Hellgate Dell .
