This is the ultimate stronghold of the city's armed forces. It serves as the Main Armory, containing the vast reserves of enchanted blades, masterwork plate armor, and siege-engine components needed to defend the Gem of the Flanaess. Most importantly, the lower, subterranean levels are rumored to house a portion of the City Treasury—the gold and platinum reserves used to pay the soldiers and mercenary companies during times of war. This massive, rectangular fortress stands as a 'keep within the keep'. While the Prison Blockhouse holds the people, the Great Blockhouse holds the power—specifically, the military and financial heart of the Greyhawk Militia.
