The Battle Gate is the primary military entrance to the city's highest and most secure point. It is a grim, massive structure designed to withstand a full-scale siege. This is a strictly military and high-security portal. It serves as the main thoroughfare for the Greyhawk Militia and the heavy cavalry patrols that roam the surrounding hills. While some high-status civilians are permitted through with the proper scrolls, its main purpose is to funnel troops from the Citadel's inner keeps to the western defensive lines.
