This gatehouse is unique in its construction; while the base is sturdy Greyhawk stone, the upper portions are entwined with ancient, magically strengthened ironwood and thick curtains of ivy that remain vibrant even in the dead of winter. This is the primary exit for those traveling toward the Gnarley Forest or the sacred groves of the Cairn Hills. It serves as the main thoroughfare for woodcutters, charcoal burners, and circles of druids or rangers entering the city to trade rare medicinal plants, pelts, and wild honey. It is also the gate used by 'green-grocers'—farmers from small, wooded estates who provide the Garden Quarter with its freshest organic produce.
