The New City Fountains are a collection of three primary, interconnected basins that form a grand plaza at the edge of the Artisans' Quarter. The Merchant's Basin: The largest, central fountain, decorated with statues of the early Mayors and the gods of trade.

The New City Fountains are a collection of three primary, interconnected basins that form a grand plaza at the edge of the Artisans' Quarter. The Merchant's Basin: The largest, central fountain, decorated with statues of the early Mayors and the gods of trade. The Artisan's Spire: To the west, featuring water flowing over tiered stone carvings of the various guild symbols. The Garden Mist: To the east, a shallower basin that uses minor enchantments to create a constant, cooling fog during the summer months. These fountains are the primary source of clean, pressurized water for the northern districts. Fed by an ancient subterranean aqueduct system originally designed by Zagig Yragerne, they are much more than mere decoration. They provide the water used by the nearby dye-works and tanneries of the Artisans' Quarter, as well as the drinking water for the surrounding neighborhoods. The New City Fountains are the Town Square for the common folk of the northern districts. It is the city's most popular meeting spot for laborers finishing their shifts, students from Clerkburg looking for a quiet place to study, and travelers waiting for meetings with the Guilds. It is also a site of political importance; announcements from the Directing Oligarchy that affect the Artisans' Guilds are often posted on the stone pillars surrounding the central basin.
