It is where the sons and daughters of the Oerthly nobility come to be educated alongside the most brilliant scholarship students from across the continent. It also contains the Great Library, a repository of knowledge rumored to rival the libraries of the Silent Tower. Founded by Zagig Yragerne himself, Grey College is the brain of the Free City. Many members of the Directing Oligarchy are alumni, and the college's faculty often serve as unofficial advisors to the Mayor. It is a place of neutrality; even in times of war, scholars from rival nations like the Great Kingdom or Furyondy can often be found debating in its halls under the Seal of Academic Immunity.
