The Courts of Justice is the supreme judicial seat of the Free City. It houses the Grand Tribunal, where the Twelve Worthies (the city's high judges) preside over capital crimes, international trade disputes, and noble appeals. The lower levels contain the Chambers of Records, a labyrinthine archive of every legal contract and property deed issued since the era of Zagig Yragerne. This is a windowless edifice of dark, polished basalt and white marble accents. Its architecture is featuring a colossal grand staircase flanked by ten fluted columns, each representing one of the founding tenets of the city's charter. The bronze doors are twenty feet tall and inscribed with the Code of Greyhawk in a script so fine it requires a jeweler's glass to read.
