The ground floor is a cramped, smoke-filled taproom, while the upper floors are divided into 'flophouse' style communal sleeping wards. This is a narrow, three-story wooden structure. It features a sagging front porch and a single, grime-streaked window on the ground floor. The upper stories overhang the street slightly, supported by notched wooden struts that groan in high winds.
