This is a High-Volume, Rough-and-Tumble Sailors' Pub and Gambling Den. It serves the Heavy Labor of the city—stevedores, barge-men, and mercenaries. It offers strong, cheap grog and The Pit, a sunken area in the center of the floor used for wrestling matches and high-stakes dice games. The entrance is a pair of massive cedar doors salvaged from a wrecked galley, featuring a brass knocker in the shape of a snapping turtle. The windows are circular portholes fitted with thick, clouded glass.
