This is a high-output commercial brewery and malt house. While the city has many small 'home-brew' taverns, The King's Grain produces the reliable, large-batch ales and 'small beers' (low-alcohol brews) that sustain the city's working class. They supply dozens of taverns across the Artisans' and Slum Quarters, as well as providing the staple beverage for many guild-run mess halls. This large, multi-story stone building is easily identified by the sweet, heavy scent of fermenting mash and the constant steam rising from its copper-capped chimneys. It is owned and operated by the brothers Vetner and Tergrat, a pair known as much for their brawn as their brewing.
