The upper floor is a high-security laboratory where Theldrat and his apprentices hand-forge bespoke locking mechanisms for the city's elite. This is a sturdy, two-story building of soot-stained brick and reinforced ironwood. Its facade is famous for the Great Lock—a massive, non-functional decorative padlock forged from gleaming brass that hangs above the reinforced oak door. The windows are small, set high in the walls, and protected by intricate, star-patterned iron grates of Theldrat's own design.
