Gnarleyhouse is the unofficial headquarters and 'urban hostel' for the Gnarley Forest woodmen, rangers, and druids who trade with the Free City. It serves as a diplomatic mission where the forest-folk can meet with the Directing Oligarchy to discuss logging rights, monster migrations, and the protection of the Selintan River headwaters. It also functions as a specialized market for rare forest goods—medicinal herbs, exotic pelts, and Bronzewood that is as strong as steel. This is a large, sprawling manor constructed entirely of living oak, dark pine, and silver-birch timbers, with a roof thatched in thick, magically-preserved moss. The building feels less like it was built and more like it was grown into its current shape.
