This manor is the ancestral seat of the House of Grey, a noble lineage that claims a direct (though legally disputed) connection to the city's namesake and its founding figures. While the family has lost much of its political bite in the Directing Oligarchy, the manor remains a fortress of tradition. It serves as a private archive for the city's earliest deeds, genealogies, and treaties that predate the Great Kingdom's expansion. This is one of the oldest standing stone structures in the High Quarter, built from weathered blocks of dark, soot-stained granite that seem to absorb rather than reflect the sunlight. The roof is made of thick lead tiles, and the chimneys are built into the corners like miniature battlements.
